The Doughnut Skirt

userssandymywordphotosmyphotospatternsdoughnutskir

This version was done in a rayon, suit-weight twill which is quite fluid and 'drapey' but any fabric that flows and drapes well will be fine. The skirt is a double layer of the fabric so it should not be bulky or textured. The amount of fabric required varies for each person but you will need in length and width 2X your desired length plus the diameter of the waist 'doughnut hole', the formula for which is given in the instructions. For longer skirts the width will need piecing.
