The Idea . . .
This website is dedicated to teaching and publishing designs
and techniques in fashion and textiles that have a timeless compelling element. Often these patterns, books and illustrations
are "lost arts" that have been abandoned, leaving their intrinsic appeal to be rediscovered by a new generation. The premise
here is that human sensibilities essentially remain unchanged by markets and trends and will always respond to the richness
of an idea.

reprinted pattern and fashion books offered by our new non-profit, The Center for Pattern Design.
